Lovely and inspiring, this film helps you find perspective.
This film is a beautiful interpretation of the lightest and darkest parts of life but magnified in one mans life. I left the showing thinking about what in my life is truly important to me. This film shows you the power of humans, our brains and the universe. (Or spirit or God or whatever you want to call your higher power.) And it reminds you to live each day to your fullest extent. This is a beautifully documented journey of someone who chooses to focus on the present and continue moving himself and others forward. The cinematography and film direction was great and the colors were lovely. I love the focus on the outdoors and focusing on the power that nature has in our lives. Overall this was an excellent film. It’s inspiring, has some laughs and is heartwarming. My only complaint is that it wasn’t longer and I didn’t get to hear more of the stories. A+ film about doing something good with this life and each breath.
Incredible journey from tragedy to purpose.
I was drawn to this film by my connected love to the outdoors, but ended up finding so much more in the story. Not only is this an incredible story, but it was beautifully told by the filmmakers.
I truly appreciated their ability to bring me into the experience. From the beginning, starting in the darkness of pain and tragedy and struggles, and moving into the light and brightness of a future of love and purpose. I was emotionally brought in from the opening scene and carried through the journey by the film. It had laughs, moments of tears, reflection on purpose, and finding your way in the world. Walking out of the film, I found myself reflecting on the message. To live each day to your fullest because today is what you have. Very impactful!

An inspiring story of finding hope again.
This documentary captures the life of a man who overcame unimaginable challenges to rescue others from unimaginable circumstances. Through raw storytelling, it reveals the immense toll his experiences took on his life, while exploring the peace and healing he found in a relationship with God. While I could not relate with most of the events of his life, I could relate with all of the feelings like darkness turning to light, loneliness to hope, and shame to forgiveness resonated deeply. This inspiring journey challenged me to confront my own struggles and find ways to bring light into the lives of others.
